RentMen: ¿Qué te distingue de todas las demás personas que conoces?
Kris_Canada: I live how I please and without worry over what anyone else thinks. Some caveats to that -- constructive criticism is listened to, thought over, and if warranted ? Used as self-improvement (or at least slight adjustment, hah). I'm not pig-headed about any of this. I also recognize that I need to play the game at least SOMEWHAT, when it comes to my various jobs, in order to remain employable...gotta look the part, pretend to care sometimes about certain issues I might not care about, and respect my superiors even when I find them to not be so respectable (kinda lucked out in having generally great bosses, though).
No one I know personally, from friends to family to co-workers, no matter how free-spirited a few of them may be, lives free of decisions based on social, familial, or sometimes religious pressures dictating how they steer their decision-making. It's tough to do otherwise, most of us fear rejection and being kicked out of the tribe. Hard to argue with, too, since conforming usually reaps more financial and superficial gains than does living outside the box. Hey, I like being comfortable too, I get it.
Just way too much repressing of ourselves going on.
