Entrevista

  • Si nos sentamos en la playa, a beber y comer solo tú y yo, ¿qué me contarías de tu persona y tu vida?
That I've been stung by an irukandji jellyfish and need immediate medical attention
  • ¿Qué deben saber otros con absoluta certeza acerca de ti?
That, despite my photos, I typically wear button-downs and trousers. I'm a fairly conservative dresser, but I know how to look good.
  • Nombra 5 cosas sin las que no puedes vivir.
Beard wax, Doc Marten's Wonder Balsam, high ceilings, spirituality -- then it's a toss-up, dumbbell set vs ebook reader
  • ¿Qué es lo que más te gusta de ti?
I'd have to say my curiosity. I'm fascinated by other people and how they work, for example, and have developed a decent sense of insight partly through indulging that curiosity. My interests are so varied, and my knowledge so broad because I just have this need to know sometimes. In recent years, I've often found myself emerging from reveries of indeterminate length in which I've tried to visualize an abstract concept, say, or wondered about the history of some seemingly inconsequential category of household object. When I want to know, I just run with it!
  • ¿Qué te distingue de todas las demás personas que conoces?
My gigantic rainbow clown wig, /as you can see./ Joking aside, I...don't know. I can't describe it, and I've been sitting here trying. But there's something about me that makes me memorable. People who, I hate to say it, I don't remember meeting will come up to me and say, "Oh, I met you at X." Doctors, dentists, human resources, distant colleagues, administrative assistants everywhere: I make an impression. It's not physical, either; this is true for people I've only spoken to on the phone, as well. I can hear it in their voices, when they repeat my name in a different tone and start talking to me a little bit differently. I'd like to think it's charisma.
